Stamps on Asian Games
The first Asian Games were held in New Delhi from 8th to 11th March, 1951. Ten nations took part in it. This multi-sport Asian Games have since 1954, been held at four-yearly intervals.
A predecessor of the Asian Games were the Far Eastern Games, first held in 1913 in Manila, with China, the Philippines and two Japanese atheletes taking part. These Games were held every two years to 1927 and then in 1930 & 1934.
